Who is it for
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching that will give you an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching/training sessions and how to assess and give constructive and developmental feedback. It is designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach in the post 16 education sector. This could be as a trainer in the private training industry or as a teacher/lecturer in further education. This course is for new teachers with no teaching qualifications or people who are not teaching yet.
Interview Skills Assessment
Your individual needs, qualifications, and circumstances will be discussed at interview, and you will also be required to complete a short–written assessment on the day.
What will I need
You will need a Level 3 qualification in your subject and a Level 2 qualifications in English and maths.

The Award in Education and Training Level 3 will give you an insight into

How is the course assessed
Your achievement will be assessed in a variety of ways including written statements and handouts, presentations to peers and through observation of your teaching (microteach). All the evidence of these tasks creates your Level 3 Portfolio.
What can this course lead to
This course can lead to possible progression onto the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training once in a teaching role.
