Other details

Entry is at the discretion of the Centre. However, learners should be aged at
least 16 to undertake the qualification.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this
qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they've already achieved
a Level 1 qualification.

Who is it for

In an increasingly digital world, cyber security is fast becoming a main
concern for many organisations. With complex online scams and cyber crime, it's
essential that organisations have an understanding of preventative measures to
maintain cyber security, including techniques and security checks needed to
store data securely. This online course is a key starting point for anyone
looking to begin their career in cyber security.
The target learner for this qualification will be an individual looking to
gain a greater understanding or build upon their existing knowledge of Cyber
Security issues. This will likely be with a view to studying the subject at a
higher level and/or seeking employment in a Cyber Security related role.
This
qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above.

What is covered

The purpose of the Level 2 Certificate in Cyber Security is to provide
learners with sector awareness. It will do this by introducing the knowledge and
understanding in roles and issues relating to Cyber Security. The secondary
purpose is to act as a stepping stone that will lead learners into studying
Cyber Security at a higher level.
