“I had the pleasure of sharing the field with current Wallaby and All Blacks players, which was a dream come true! If it wasn’t for the College, I wouldn’t have been able to play the game I love overseas”.

“The tutors are very professional and knowledgeable in the game. Coaches within the department who have such a high pedigree in the sports industry made it an easy option for me to join PRC.”

As soon as I started college I knew this was the best option for me after school. PRC stood out from the crowd, the sport courses are great, I get to learn so much  and take everything on board in theory lessons and tailor it for my boxing career.

Outside of college, I train within the Great British boxing camp based in Sheffield. My best experience to date was representing England at the Tri-Nations Championship, boxing against Wales and Scotland, where I won gold! That was an amazing experience and one I will never forget.

I had the honour of receiving the College’s prestigious McIntyre Cup at their annual awards evening in 2017.  I was overwhelmed to discover I was nominated by my tutors for my hard work and dedication within college. I fit my boxing in around my course and always keep up to date with assignments and attendance. Picking up the award on the night made me realise how lucky I was considering the thousands of students who study at college and I was the one chosen – I will be forever grateful towards PRC for the experiences it has given me, it really is more than ‘just a college’!

My ambition for the future is to box for Great Britain at the Olympics. I would also like to go to university someday to study sport further.

Former Basketball Development Centre student who now plays professionally in Germany
“After PRC I was offered an amazing opportunity to play professional basketball in Germany. To get paid for what I love doing is incredible, playing in front of hundreds of fans is a massive buzz and gets me pumped before games!

I would recommend PRC as I feel I improved academically and physically. I owe my tutors a lot, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the dedication and motivation from them – they gave me the belief I could go on to play professionally.”
