The main benefit of the apprenticeship has been a structured approach to the training provided by both Codem and PRC.  We have found better staff retention through the apprenticeship scheme that we experience by using our own training methods. We have also see improved staff motivation as a direct result of other employees being developed and given the opportunity for personal growth.

We are a small family run business that takes on all aspects of electrical work. Over the past 10 years we have worked with Peterborough Regional College for the training of our apprentices.  Apprenticeships allow young people an opportunity to gain both practical and theoretical knowledge and training both in the workplace and at college, this allows the apprentices to learn skills at college and then transfer them back into the workplace. The staff at college are industry specialists and are always helpful and supportive of both the apprentices and the company.
