11 Apprentices Recruited By Perkins Engines Company Limited And Peterborough College
The Peterborough branch of Perkins Engine Company Limited, subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. and a leading diesel engine manufacturer in the agricultural and construction industries, has recruited eleven apprentices that will achieve their accreditation through Peterborough College.
Perkins Peterborough was founded more than 85 years ago, and today the manufacturing facility has the capacity to produce up to 500,000 engines per year. The home of world-class manufacturing technology and outstanding support, Perkins Peterborough is the ideal employer for any budding engineering, human resources, manufacturing, marketing, sales or supply chain apprentice. Eleven apprentices, ten studying the Level 3 Engineering Technician course with a Mechatronics Pathway and one studying for the Level 3 Engineering Technician qualification with a Machinist Pathway, will begin their studies in September 2023. As they do for all four hundred apprentices that enrol with Peterborough College each year, Peterborough College’s Apprenticeship Academy will be on hand to support Perkins Engine Company and their candidates throughout the apprenticeship journey, to ensure both parties get the most out of the process.
Paul Ward, Apprenticeships Development Manager at Inspire Education Group said, “We are delighted once again to support Perkins with their Apprenticeship Recruitment for 2023. This will be a fantastic opportunity for those desiring to have a career in engineering whilst being supported by a dynamic company”.
Best of luck to the eleven apprentices commencing their careers in the engineering industry.
