Air & Defence College Students Welcomed And Enrolled At Matriculation Ceremony 2022
Inspire Education Group Air and Defence students from Peterborough College and Stamford College, were welcomed at a formal matriculation ceremony at the reputable International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln last week.
Guest of honour, Group Captain Dave Melmoth BA (Hons) MSc MA MBA MCGI RAF said, “It was a pleasure to see the students at their Matriculation at the International Bomber Command Centre. The RAF partnership with the Air and Defence College and Air and Space Institute is going from strength to strength.”
“The facilities on offer at the Colleges are cutting edge, and the specifically designed courses generate plenty of opportunities, giving the students the best chance of a career in the RAF or with defence industry partners.”
Since Air and Defence College launched six years ago, over 550 students have graduated from the host colleges and benefitted from the unique career development opportunities made available by the unique employer-led approach programme. The college has resulted in students taking places on RAF Basic Recruit Training, progression into apprenticeships, employment and further study for a career in the aerospace industry.
The career opportunities for those who study this pathway are significant, former student Bradley Parker, now employed in the RAF as a cyberspace communication specialist, said, “Making your way up the ranks can be extremely difficult if you don’t know how to get there,” Bradley concludes, “but the college provided me with extensive background knowledge, important points of contact and the qualifications I needed to achieve my career goals which is something I’m extremely grateful for.”
