When asked about his experience of his training, Brendan was full of praise for both the College and PJ Thory. “During my time as an apprentice, I was able to gain hands-on experience and learn from my colleagues on a daily basis. This helped improve my skill set and confidence within the workshop while also attending college and completing theory work to gain valuable knowledge.” Brendan was ecstatic about his overall grade, saying “I’m really proud of achieving an overall grade of a merit – I’d like to thank my employer and college for all the support over my apprenticeship.”

Brendan’s employers, PJ Thory, were also very complimentary of him, saying “from the start we could see the potential.” As a result, PJ were keen to give him more responsibilities, adding that “his second year saw him start to flourish into a very competent fitter – he was awarded higher pay grades due to his ability and was soon working solo on some of the bigger jobs.”

PJ Thory also thanked the College for working with them to develop Brendan. “We would also like to thank the College, the instructors and management team for assisting Brendan and helping him to achieve a very commendable grade”, PJ added. “We are also aware of how pleased and proud Brendan is with himself in his achievement and rightly so… we will continue to assist him in any way we can with future personal developments.”

Brendan continues to work for PJ Thory, demonstrating his dedication to the role and commitment to the company.
