Former Peterborough College Student Excels as Employee at Luxury Spa, Ragdale Hall

Laura Jackson, a former student of Peterborough College, part of Inspire Education Group, is excelling in her role as a Senior Level 2 Beauty Therapist at Ragdale Hall Spa in Melton Mowbray.

Whilst studying towards NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in Beauty, Laura competed for the Ragdale Hall Spa Student of Excellence Award, winning herself a Beauty Therapist position at the Leicestershire countryside retreat. Signing her Advanced Training Diploma after her 3-month probation period, Laura has gone on to complete the following training with Ragdale:

• Ragdale’s Signature Treatments
• Elemis Face & Body, including Biotec Electrical Facials
• Decleor Face & Body and Bamboo Massage
• Spa Find Face & Body
• Lava Shell Massage (similar to hot stone)
• OPI gel nails
• Jennifer Young Oncology Massage
• Deep tissue massage
• Balinese massage
• Dry floatation
• Express treatments, which include 15-minute pick-me-up treatments, like neck and shoulder stretches and gel nails

In addition to the training completed with Ragdale Hall Spa, Laura has completed the following in her own time:

• Magpie Gel extension training
• HydraFacial
• Medik8

After 18 months of employment, Laura received the Gold Therapist Standard, awarded for her 100% attendance record, meeting of sales targets, high standard of uniform and appearance, high standard of professionalism and client care during treatments, and positive customer feedback. Laura was promoted to Senior Level 2 Beauty Therapist, and is awaiting the release of a Supervisory role vacancy.

Laura has greatly enjoyed her time at Ragdale Hall Spa, “Every day is different, stimulating and busy, which I love. In this job role, I have dealt with people from all walks of life – those with disabilities and Cancer patients – and I have given my absolute best with every treatment I’ve offered. I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge, but aspire to learn more- next up is Lomi Lomi Massage”.
