T Levels – Starting September 2023
T Levels are careers-focused , technical alternative to A Levels, designed with employers and businesses, with the inclusion of English, maths and digital skills.
Studying a T-Level will give you the professional and technical skills for an exciting career and successful future – you will gain the knowledge, experience and business links to open the door into skilled employment, Degree education and Higher Level Apprenticeships!
- Equivalent to THREE A Levels
- Two-year courses
- Developed in collaboration with employers and business
- 20% on-the-job training, 80% in the classroom / workshop studying
- An alternative to A Levels or Apprenticeships after studying GCSEs
Our T Level Courses
Construction Occupational Specialisms
- Surveying and Design for Construction and the Built Environment
An opportunity to acquire skills in building services design; civil engineering; surveying and design for construction; and the built environment. This T Level can be a route to a career working as a Building Surveyor, Building Services Engineer, Architect, Civil or Structural Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or Site Manager.
- Digital Production Design and Development
Learn all about the business and digital environment, planning and testing, security, with opportunities to specialise in specific areas of designing, implementing and testing software to create digital solutions. This T Level can be a route to a career working as a Software, Games, Application or Web Developer, or Software Tester.
Education and Childcare
- Early Years Educator
Covering core elements such as child development; how education works; safeguarding; and, special educational needs, and by learning hands-on and in the classroom, in just two years you could be ready to work in a career as a Nursery Manager, Child and Early Years Officer or Primary School Teacher.
Health and Science
- Supporting Health Care – Care Children and Young People
Gain essential knowledge and skills about working in healthcare and understanding how the industry works through covering core scientific concepts, managing information and good clinical practice, with opportunities to specialise in adult nursing care, care of children and young people, mental health, midwifery, theatre or therapy.
Industry Placements are at the heart of the T‑Level course, so you will need a real commitment to succeed in the workplace if you choose this type of study.
You will be supported to find and secure your industry placement by our on-site Industry Placement team. You will also have full support throughout your placement to ensure you are confident and comfortable with your employer and role.
